Cigarette packets carry a statutory warning "Smoking is injurious to health"
Bidi packets do not carry such warning.
Why??
Is it that only rich need to be kept informed of the dangers to health?
Is it because Govt still wants the excise revenue from cigarette sale?
Is it because the health of the poor is of least importance?
Or
Has it got some thing to do with the fact that most of the BIDI rolling busness is controlled by the Maharashtra politicians?
Has it got some thing to do with the fact that most of the BIDI tobacco processing is under the control of the Politicians from Maharashtra?
If cigarette kills,so does the BIDI.
