Police in most of the states are treated as the personal force of the CM.
Rathore is being paid back for all the services he has rendered to the respective CMs.
All the constitunal institutions are being misused to the extent they can be.
And to add insult to injury, he is not being punished at all for having the victim's brother thrown in jail on false charges (he was later completely exonerated), and for persecuting her family and friends. I could not bear to watch his and his wife's smirking faces on television...
Bones, They maybe right, but they could be outrageously stupid at times.
This is one more shocking case that proves that the strong arm of law is not meant for the rich and the powerful.
That a senior cop should do it and get away with promotions etc is shocking. The police needs to have a strong separate act like the one the military has to expeditiously punish offenders in-house.
@Manju: How can his wife stick around?
@Bones- Maybe she thought being the wife of an influential police officer was worth it- God knows how she could, though!
@Manju: Or her husband has threatened her...
@Bones- I read the news report again and couldn't believe this-
Apparently Abha Rathore, his wife, is acting as defence counsel! It is mentioned in other newspapers also.
